Nous sommes 7 copains, faisant partie des anciens de l’US bouscataise en Gironde, tous animés par les plaisirs de l’ovalie.
En juin 2018, notre ami et numéro 8 William, nous apprend qu’il est victime de la maladie de Charcot. Pour soutenir notre copain et sensibiliser l’opinion publique à cette terrible affection qui a transformé en moins d’un an un numéro 8 courant partout, un père formidable, un époux génial, notre copain, en un petit oiseau fragile dans son nid, nous avons décidé de créer une chaine de solidarité en postant une photo d’un 8 fait avec les mains #un8pourwill (Instagram) et d’organiser un tournoi de rugby en sa mémoire.
Vu le soutien de nombreuses stars du Top 14, des sportifs, animateurs et autres anonymes sensibles à la cause, nous avons décidé de créer cette association utile et fraternelle. Elle véhicule un message fort : « On raffute Charcot ! ».
Les fonds récoltés servent à accompagner et aider les patients dans leur quotidien et soutiennent la recherche pour de nouvelles pistes thérapeutiques.
